Maintenance: Will be Briefly Offline
We are expecting to have a couple of miniscule problems pop up as soon as the new system has been started and made accessible, and this will take just a few minutes to get sorted. In addition, we anticipate that externally embedded photos and the flash-player itself will also be down for a couple of seconds.
There’s a really simple explanation for the delay: our new application software has to generate an according preview photo and thumbnails in various sizes for all available photo contents. Likewise, there will be approximately 380,000 different external players affected by uploads for videos alone. No worries, we’ll have things back up and running smoothly ASAP.
Maintenance & New Features
It’s going to be another long night here at sevenload: We are going to perform maintenance tonight from 10 pm until 6 am tomorrow, in order to incorporate some new features and work out a couple of details. During this time, sevenload is going to be down (either partially or fully) but any externally embedded contents will still be fully functional.
Tomorrow morning we will add the new features in a Blog, one by one.
Update: The following features are already ready to go! Please feel free to comment on any of them in our Blog!
- Feature: New Point System on sevenload
- Feature: Altered Profile Status
- Feature: Edit Photos
- Announcement: Upload Time Extended Briefly
- Feature: Re-launch of the Video Start Page
Blog Relaunch
Our Blog has just adopted a new layout which will be online within the next few minutes. We’ve decided to use a simple and clear structure from Wordpress, the so-called “K2 Theme“. At the same time we will also have new RSS URLs and Permalinks which are now consistently controlled via .htaccess. We are also going to only have the following Feeds available in the future, so please adjust your newsreader settings:
RSS Feed for the Article:
http://blog.sevenload.com/feed
RSS Feed for Comments:
http://blog.sevenload.com/comments/feed
We’ve also exchanged Captscha (because it was causing some problems) and likewise will now have Trackbacks and Pingbacks. With these changes we also addressed the issue that when you make a query that the form of “/index.php?p=#” or “/index.php/resturl” had to take place.
