Last monday, the German version of Der Spiegel magazine made a statement (which happens to perfectly embody our own motto here at sevenload):”TV was yesterday” (in German)- the article (of the same title) referencing how one can become and internet star. The essential potential to become a star can be achieved by anyone- “whoever can be original or allow themself to be embarrassed, whoever is politically aware or even simply has a good story to tell […] Age, sex and looks do not make a difference here.”

We believe that our work has the ability to change things- that the people in front of the camera and the team behind them, have the chance to re-write the future of the media scene. Internet television offers people an alternative to classical broadcasting mediums and sevenload is ready to charge full steam ahead into the future.

It’s no wonder that the young blogger has gotten offers from companies and television. “I’ve rejected all of that. I don’t want to be on TV, I want to stay on the internet”, said the student. Michel rather work on raising the technical quality of his show[...]

Professional level TV production is hardly affordable for sevenload users who up to now have been posting video shows they produced themselves on the internet. These offers are often quite alluring because the production company takes care of most of the costs, but in a lot of cases, there are several obstacles which seem to pop up over and over.

The ultimate goal of our work is to change the visual media scene. Everyone from the sevenload team is ready to do this by making their own contributions and to jump into action, as was the case last weekend when we had our very own “coding night!

It’s exactly for this reason that sevenload is promoting its emerging talent. We aren’t just supporting them as a service provider with the ability to support them technically, but also with regard to supporting the artists’ contracts and with legal questions about the videos they make. In other words: We won’t leave you on your own to sort things out!
