1. Party time in der Schweiz (Party time in Switzerland): Uploaded by Mobelithe
An amazing party night, cool people and the right costumes with a crazy live band. What more do you want?” As the photographer of this picture says, the ingredients for the ideal party are quite simple: take the right location, add a smattering of fun guests, a hint of music and mix them all together with a large portion of delicious drinks and food: and what do you get? Party time…! Nice costumes by the way…!
2. Chinese New Year in Hong Kong: Uploaded by coldstone
What would a New Year’s Eve be without fireworks? And they certainly don’t do things by halves in China, as this photo shows. With parades, sporting events, flower markets and the firework extravaganza this is always one amazing party. In 2009, the first day of Chinese New Year will be celebrated on 26th January, so why not start planning and you could be lucky enough to celebrate NYE twice!
3. Sensation White 2006: Uploaded by lordares
Known as “The World’s Leading Dance Event”, this Dutch indoor dance party, which is also meanwhile held in Belgium, Poland and Germany, regularly attracts up to 40,000 clubbers from all over the world. Everyone who attends the party is required to dress in white, which creates an amazing spectacle, further enhanced by lasers, visual effects, fireworks, decorations…and of course the most important factor: the music. DJs including Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Erick Morillo and Tiësto have graced the decks at previous events and there is no sign of things slowing down, with plans being made to take the white party Down Under. This photo really captures the amazing atmosphere…
4. Frauen und Alkohol… (Women and Alcohol): Uploaded by Hermie
Do you think the lady on the left of this photo realised what she was doing as she posed with her friends for this snapshot?! Maybe she just got too caught up in the party mood!
5. Partyleben (Party life): Uploaded by Slausi
Shiny disco balls are a symbol of the Studio54 days. This was the ultimate party in New York in the 70s and 80s and with outrageously dressed guests, funky music and its fancy interior the club attracted the crème de la crème of the celebrity world and during its heyday played a significant role in club culture and disco music. Party lights reflecting off a glitter ball make for a great photo. So, why not take your camera next time you make some moves on the dancefloor?
6. Wolfenbüttel Breite Herzog Straße (On Wolfenbüttel Breite Herzog Street): Uploaded by Doggy
Celebratory scenes like this were witnessed all throughout Germany as the German team made it to the final stages of the European Championships with a 3-2 win against Turkey in a dramatic semi-final match. Sure you German sevenloaders out there will have plenty more such snaps to post if this success continues to the final! A football win is always followed by a winning party…!
7. Technopartytreff auf Ibiza (Techno party on Ibiza): Uploaded by Techno
If it’s a party you’re looking for then you can’t go wrong in Ibiza: party capital of the world and home to club giants such as Privilege (the largest club in the world with a capacity of 10,000), Pacha, Space and DC10. But dancing on the sand can be just as fun, as this holiday snap proves…!

1. Dubai13 uploaded by: Summerson64
Let’s start off by whisking you off to the distant shores of Dubai, the fastest-growing city on earth. With its indoor ski resorts, underwater hotels, towering skyscrapers, pristine beaches and more luxury than you could ever wish for, tourism in Dubai is currently booming. And if money is no issue, book yourself into the famous Burj Al Arab shown in this photo: one of the world’s best hotels in the shape of a sail.
2. Zakynthos uploaded by: tobias.weismueller
How about island hopping in Greece? Zante is just one of the 1400 Greek Islands you can choose from. Smugglers Cove on the North West of the island has to be the most famous beach. Over 20 years ago a ship carrying contraband cigarettes was wrecked and washed up here. It is only accessible by boat, but definitely worth the trip, as this photo shows!
3. Dusk, Tokoyo, Japan uploaded by: GrandWizzard
You’ll feel a million miles away from home in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. But if it’s the whole “Lost in Translation” experience you’re looking for then you’re in the right place here. With a population of around 12 million and skyscraper district, you’ll be reminded just how small you are, as this picture emphasizes!
4. Yeah! uploaded by: morgler
If you’re going to San Francisco….be sure to take plenty of photos there! Trips to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island Alcatraz Island, plus a ride on the famous cable cars are at the top of most travellers’ lists of things to do. The cosmopolitan population, chilly summer fog and steep streets are also unique to San Fran and further reasons why Sevenloaders like Morgler and Eli come to visit.
5. London Eye uploaded by: Dortmunder
It’s safe to say that sevenloader Dortmunder isn’t scared of heights! At 135 metres high, the London Eye is the fourth tallest structure in London and attracts 3.5 million visitors a year. Hip and trendy London is a must for every urban traveller!
6. Fall des schiefen Turms (Fall of the leaning tower) uploaded by: ElCattivo86
Here’s the real reason the Leaning Tower of Pisa is leaning!! Mama mia!! Why not have your own photo fun and games with famous landmarks next time you’re on your travels and grab a Pisa the action….! (Sorry, couldn’t resist!!)
7. Sunset from the Cafè del Mar uploaded by: kowalski
Chill out and soak up the summer! What better way to start a night out in Ibiza than watching the red sun sink into the sea at Café del Mar, accompanied by a soundtrack of ambient tunes? When the sun does eventually set a round of applause can be heard and it’s time to head for one of the many clubs.
7Load Top 7: Architecture & Landscape Pix
So, another week is over and it’s Top7 time again already. For my third blog entry I am presenting my Top7 architecture and landscape photos from all of you talented sevenloaders out there, as well as revealing some tips on how to achieve that coveted perfect shot. Keep coming up with innovative perspectives, discovering unusual locations, experimenting with reflections, playing with light and shade and space and you too can produce visually striking images, which any top photographer would be proud of! Here are some excellent examples to get your creative juices flowing!!
1. Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral) by Chillerstadt
If you have ever been to Cologne, you will know that it’s not as easy as it may seem to take a good, close-up photo of the city’s imposing Cathedral. At is 144.5 metres long, 86.5 metres wide and with two towers that are 157 metres tall it is difficult to fit the right angle of this landmark into a frame, so close-up shots are not always successful. Sometimes looking at your subject from a completely different angle solves this problem, as here shown by Chillerstadt.
2. Red Bridge by worldwideklein
An great photo of an amazing structure!
3. Spieglein, Spieglein an der Straße (Mirror, mirror on the road) by Pegasus425
Mirror, mirror on the road….who has the best photo on sevenload…?! A very clever idea! Pegasus425 shows us how to take advantage of reflection (and nearby mirrors!) and even manages to ‘frame’ himself in this photo of the German countryside!
4. Strand (Beach) by Sabrina100
Top marks for Sabrina! It would have been so easy to take yet another boring beach shot of the horizon and the waves. But she has succeeded in “thinking outside of the box” and by waiting for the perfect, soft lighting, ensuring that the beach is deserted to highlight the expanse and calmness and by looking at the scene from a whole new perspective, she has created the perfect photo. Follow her example and instead of keeping the camera at eye-level, get down on the ground or look down and see things in a completely new way.
5. Bunte Tür (Colourful door) by Sofie
Experimenting with black and white and colour in the same photo adds an extra depth to your photos. This colourful door almost looks out of place on the old, dilapidated building, but it certainly makes for an interesting focal point. Symmetry also plays an important role in this picture.
6. Wow by Hummerle
Who’s to say you can’t digitally enhance your photos with some Photoshop skills? This evil cloud formation looking down on Shanghai is just one example of what you could conjure up. The possibilities are endless with a little imagination. Now there’s a challenge..!
7. Figur by Sofie
Contrast is an effective way of drawing attention to the subject in the foreground of a photo. This blurred background separates the building and the statue here, which helps to create a great, artful shot. Why not give it a go?
So, that’s all for this week sevenloaders! Next time I’ll be filtering out my Top7 most entertaining wannabe popstar videos! Until then keep sevenloading!

Hello sevenloaders! Welcome to the all-singing, all-dancing Top7 blog entry of the week! Yes, you’ve guessed it: this time I’ll be digging out my favourite entertaining videos (although not always for the right reasons!!), featuring all sorts of singers and dancers. The internet is flooded with people trying to find fame with their so-called talents. And we are also bombarded with these “wannabes” in other media too, not to mention all of the “Pop Idol” and “Superstar” talent shows on TV. But sevenload is also a platform for those aspiring stars and their fans who do not take the fame game so seriously. And it’s thanks to them that I can bring you this round up of fun clips. Be inspired!

Have you heard about the new craze that everyone is making a song and dance (pardon the pun!) about? Having originated in Belgium and Holland, ‘jump style’ mania is now currently sweeping over Europe. It is a new type of dance which comes from the hardcore rave scene and which involves a lot of jumping around to bouncy dance music. Can you feel it?!
2. Groove Girl from Sitzplatz
Link: sevenload.com
A really cool video, even if it has been “digitally manipulated!” This girl can really throw the shapes, whilst managing to make it look effortless – the epitome of a real “groove girl,” who’s always sure to be the last one on the dancefloor at the end of the night!
3. Der Beatbox Koch (Chef) from WaszumLachen
Link: sevenload.com
Take one chef, add some sound effects, stir and serve! Be amazed by this chef cooking up a storm in his kitchen!
4. Andrew singing Akon from paula1981

Top7 Blog Entry Premiere! Top7 Summer Photos
Hello again sevenloaders. Welcome to my first Top7 blog entry. This week I’m going to try and bring back the summer!
If you haven’t yet been able to escape to sunnier climes and are still waiting patiently for the sunny season of 2007 to begin maybe my selection of summery shots will brighten up your day.
Sit back and imagine you are on a desert island, gazing out at a tropical sunset or lounging on a tranquil beach. Maybe you will even be inspired to create your own shots once the summer is finally here to stay!
So, here are my personal Top7 summer photos (in no particular order):
1) Pollerwiesen by paula1981:
Okay, okay, so the first of my Top7 was taken by yours truly…! But I thought I would allow myself the privilege, just this once! This was taken at one of the Pollerwiesen parties on a scorching Sunday in Cologne. It was so hot that fire engines were on hand to hose down the hot dancers!! I’m looking forward to more of these parties, once the sun comes out to play.
2) Becken (Pool) by Marty:
A very sleek, symmetrical shot with intense colours. Makes me want to dive right in! If only this was my garden!
3) Ibiza by Jerry:
Who wouldn’t want to be sitting by this pool right now? Amazing sunset and colours, especially the blue of the pool and the pinks of the sky. Anyone off to the White Isle this year? Take some photos and upload them on sevenload!
4) Mal anders herum by Sponduun.TV:
A different perspective which is a welcome change to the hundreds of traditional sunset/beach photos. This is a very calming shot, thanks to the wonderful colours.
5) Descanso Sand by Lufthansi:
Just to prove that sevenload has made it all the way to Méjico! Impressive! Thanks for spreading the word Lufthansi! Have any other sevenloaders spread the sevenload word further afield than Mexico? Get your photos posted!
6) Kopflos (Headless) by Glücksbringer:
Funny photo, but don’t try this at home! This is sure to have attracted some puzzled stares on the beach.
7) Oilbeater2001 by Oilbeater:
An interesting photo, which is enhanced by the fact it is black/white. The silhouettes are highly effective: the people seem as if they are all heading off for the horizon. Very professional.
So, hope you like my choices and that you have been inspired to go out and take your own photos. Next week I’ll be keeping an eye out for my Top 7 funny videos, so keep uploading and you may see your name in our next English blog!! See you then!
