Horse & Country TV
Giddy up!
sevenload is proud to present the branded Horse & Country TV show on sevenload.com.
Through sevenload, H&C TV will now have its own branded online channel that will showcase editorially selected H&C TV content. “We are thrilled to work with H& TV to further distribute their content. We believe that this partnership not only underlines our own content distribution strategy, but provides H& TV’s brand with another outlet for reaching a larger audience outside of traditional content distribution,” commented Axel Schmiegelow, sevenload’s CEO.
Heather Killen, Chairman of H& TV, said: “The comprehensive strategy review and re-organisation we implemented on taking control of H& TV at the end of 2008 is now beginning to bear fruit. The H& TV business model is cross-platform and international, partnering with both sevenload and Web TV Enterprise is a timely move to extend our leading position in key overseas territories where interest levels in horse sport are high and growing”.
We’re thrilled to be able to present the sevenload community with this premium content and hope you’re as impressed with the show as we are!
Drum Roll Please: New sevenload Show Designs!
The sevenload show pages have always been at the heart of sevenload and an integral part of how the site has grown and developed. That’s why we have an exciting announcement to make- the show pages have been reworked, redesigned and are now live! Our concept team, developers and designers have really outdone themselves this time.
A rehaul of the design templates was necessary, so from now on, content partners are able to choose from pre-designed background themes for their shows (branding for the shows is still however, a major part of the look and feel of the show pages). In addition to enhancing several of our standard features such as ratings and comments, we have also made a few updates such as adding a new “backstage” section that provides more in depth information about shows as well as links to direcltly to a content partner’s blog (if they choose). Furthermore, we’ve added a new “Become Active” section that lets you bookmark, share, recommend and even twitter your favorite episodes. Finally, also added an episode slider that lets you quickly browse all eiposodes.
We hope that you are also as impressed with the re-designs as we are and hope you enjoy your new show page(s). Check out the new features, including the much larger homepage player in 16:9 format (and in HD!) and video slider. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the new show pages, please let us know- we’re happy to answer any questions you may have.

iApplicate
Currently, there are over 35 thousand iPhone applications available, and totals will continue to grow over the next few years. Wouldn’t you like to know which apps fit a specific need, which apps to avoid, and which ones just flat out rock? This is where iApplicate comes in, a web-based program (and now new show on sevenload!) that reviews and evaluates iPhone app functionality.
The show is intended to inform users, helping them decide which apps are the perfect apps to buy. iApplicate is produced by Oktane Micro Media, a new media company driven by
developing affinity media strategies, video marketing campaigns and engaging digital properties that quench the insatiable thirst of a media-hungy marketplace
We think they rock.
Here’s a little peak at what the guys at Oktane have come up with for the Dane Cook Global application:
Gearheads Get Ready for Motorz!
This new DIY show is a true gem for gearheads of all ages! Motorz host Chris Duke demonstrates how-to vehicle installations real for enthusiasts- ie he shows the average Joe how to install products on his own vehicle using common tools he has in his garage.
Motorz unique format makes it possible for anyone (after watching an episode) to find the confidence to go out and buy that product they always wanted on their ride and install it themselves. The show bases itself around Duke getting his hands into the nuts and bolts of the install, showing viewers how to get the job done using simple tools. An added bonus: Chris also talks directly about the problems he encounters along the way. Whether it’s installing bolt-on performance modifications, wiring up electronics, or dressing up your ride for show, MOTORZ offers a real look at what lies beneath the installation instructions.
My Motorz episode pick? How-To Install Train Horns. That’s right. Train horns. Chris Duke installs a real 180dB train horn kit on his project truck with 4 horns, a 3 gallon air tank and a 160 PSI air compressor. Sweet!
Don’t Call them “Video Chicks”
The show Video Hustler is not necessarily known for its political correctness, but that’s besides the point. This video in particular stands out among the rest of the show’s episodes and is able to cause a stir simply based on its subject matter. Video Girls. Most of us have heard the term used loosely to describe the young women who appear in music videos. Often times, they are a part of the backdrop, adding to the videos appeal by dancing provocatively and/or drawing attention to the sexual appeal of the performing artist.
We’d like you to make your own opinion of this matter and therefore present you with episode 10 of Video Hustler: Video Girls. What’s your opinion of “video girls”?
