She has been dreaming of releasing an all Spanish language album for years and now the time has become ripe- at the beginning of this year she released the album “Como Ama Una Mujer” which offers a total of 11 songs (some of which were directed her husband Marc Anthony). After the album’s first hit, “Qué Hiciste”, the new single “Me Haces Falta” is bound to make waves! Check it out!
Joppa on sevenload!
We’ve got a new Special for you, and it goes by the name of Joppa! Joppa follows Mike, Thom, Ben Therrien and Ben as they wander the streets of Newburyport, MA (sometimes they meet in the park). These men aren’t afraid to ask questions that most wouldn’t dare- why? because they’re in search of answers… lots of answers.
Answers to questions like: “What the hell is hyperbole?” Where Joppa attempts to explain where the phrase “pardon my French” came from.
Or: “How much is that in hands?” When Mike is referring to a new form of currency and Thom explains how to measure the height of a horse.
The Joppa crew will certainly keep you on your toes and asks you to dig down deep inside to try and find your own answers.
We’ve got season one available now on the Special and if you’re interested in checking out season two, try their website.
7Load Top 7: Architecture & Landscape Pix
So, another week is over and it’s Top7 time again already. For my third blog entry I am presenting my Top7 architecture and landscape photos from all of you talented sevenloaders out there, as well as revealing some tips on how to achieve that coveted perfect shot. Keep coming up with innovative perspectives, discovering unusual locations, experimenting with reflections, playing with light and shade and space and you too can produce visually striking images, which any top photographer would be proud of! Here are some excellent examples to get your creative juices flowing!!
1. Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral) by Chillerstadt
If you have ever been to Cologne, you will know that it’s not as easy as it may seem to take a good, close-up photo of the city’s imposing Cathedral. At is 144.5 metres long, 86.5 metres wide and with two towers that are 157 metres tall it is difficult to fit the right angle of this landmark into a frame, so close-up shots are not always successful. Sometimes looking at your subject from a completely different angle solves this problem, as here shown by Chillerstadt.
2. Red Bridge by worldwideklein
An great photo of an amazing structure!
3. Spieglein, Spieglein an der Straße (Mirror, mirror on the road) by Pegasus425
Mirror, mirror on the road….who has the best photo on sevenload…?! A very clever idea! Pegasus425 shows us how to take advantage of reflection (and nearby mirrors!) and even manages to ‘frame’ himself in this photo of the German countryside!
4. Strand (Beach) by Sabrina100
Top marks for Sabrina! It would have been so easy to take yet another boring beach shot of the horizon and the waves. But she has succeeded in “thinking outside of the box” and by waiting for the perfect, soft lighting, ensuring that the beach is deserted to highlight the expanse and calmness and by looking at the scene from a whole new perspective, she has created the perfect photo. Follow her example and instead of keeping the camera at eye-level, get down on the ground or look down and see things in a completely new way.
5. Bunte Tür (Colourful door) by Sofie
Experimenting with black and white and colour in the same photo adds an extra depth to your photos. This colourful door almost looks out of place on the old, dilapidated building, but it certainly makes for an interesting focal point. Symmetry also plays an important role in this picture.
6. Wow by Hummerle
Who’s to say you can’t digitally enhance your photos with some Photoshop skills? This evil cloud formation looking down on Shanghai is just one example of what you could conjure up. The possibilities are endless with a little imagination. Now there’s a challenge..!
7. Figur by Sofie
Contrast is an effective way of drawing attention to the subject in the foreground of a photo. This blurred background separates the building and the statue here, which helps to create a great, artful shot. Why not give it a go?
So, that’s all for this week sevenloaders! Next time I’ll be filtering out my Top7 most entertaining wannabe popstar videos! Until then keep sevenloading!
Get the sevenload Ringtone!
sevenload? sevenload! Several members of our ever-increasing team have been spotted at different events such as the BarCamps with their mobile phones.
For several weeks now many of them have been having fun with the sevenload ringtone. Now you as a community finally have the chance to download the tune for your own mobile phone. And it’s all free of charge!
You only need to save the MP3 file on to your computer and then transfer it on to a MP3-compatible mobile phone – via infra red, Bluetooth or with a USB cable, depending on your phone. By the way, the sevenload song is a creation by master composer Oliver Kels (German), who was also responsible for the individual sounds of Rob Vegas and Girls Breakfast and is regarded as one of the market’s experts for advertising jingles. Enjoy!
