sevenload goes international

Just in time before celebrating Christmas, we’ve integrated the English version of our photo- and video-community sevenload.com. We are thinking of the international market by launching our new site: “The access to content and community-members from various countries is an important step on this way”, said our founder and managing director Ibrahim Evsan. In particular the ability to show new content of foreign countries on our platform is very attractive to create the most multifaced and diversified content for all of our users.

“According to our expansion strategy the British and US American markets have an outstanding account”, said Axel Schmiegelow who is the responsible managing director for internationalization. “The competition is intense and we want to prove that a German site is capable of becoming a market leader “.

During the first phase of this international launch, sevenload gives you the chance to switch between two languages – English and of course, German. As a second step, other language packs such as Italian, Spanish, Turkish and French will be released in the coming weeks, which we’re really excited about! Be prepared for some amazing changes and some truly international flavor.

We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for the endless support!

Our Christmas Party

Each December, virtually every company has the responsibility of needing to throw a Christmas party for its employees… sevenload is no different and last night, our time of the year had come too. But now, it’s over- and we’re already looking forward to more “private” sevenload events with our colleagues in the future! ;)

Flashplayer Format Adjustments

The following statement was made about our Flash Player in a test report from the current issue of PC Games Hardware (article in German) about Video Portals:

“Unfortunately, the pixel aspect ratio is not adjusted for 16:9 Videos so that they are displayed distorted.”

Source and photo: PC Games Hardware 01/07, pg. 150-151

Vertical distortion is no longer going to be a problem for us. It only took our developers 5 minutes to correct the setting options. ;)

Work as a “Tagger”

We just had to add a new job title to go along with our new point system- Tagger:

We are looking for a new Tagger:

Your profile:
The job consists mostly of online editing. We are looking for someone who is competent, compliant and innovative, can show initiative, and naturally also has experience in searching for and making Tags.

Your tasks:
You will research search terms and create new Tag´s…

'yellow' from MacTVWe can confidently contradict that this is an “Internship” or at least some sort of “Punishment”. At least for our Users, its simply fun to hit a “high score” and get on the Top User List on sevenload. Ultimately, you’ll get 0.5 points added to your score every day and we all know, whoever has more Tags, will have a higher score. And how would one correctly tag the photo on the side here? Check it out for yourself…

Update: At this point, it’s worth mentioning that this is not really a position being offered at sevenload. Sorry… maybe sometime in the near future!
